Acceptable Use Policy

Inbox Hearth builds sending infrastructure for lawful, professional B2B outreach. Deliverability is a shared resource: one abusive sender damages the reputation systems every other customer depends on. So this policy is not fine print — it's the operating contract, and we enforce it.

What the infrastructure is for

  • Business-to-business outreach — contacting people at businesses about matters relevant to their professional role.
  • Truthful sender identity — messages sent from your mailboxes must accurately identify who you are and how to reach you, including a valid physical postal address, as CAN-SPAM requires.
  • Working opt-out — every commercial message must offer a clear way to decline further contact, and opt-outs must be honored promptly (CAN-SPAM allows ten business days; we expect faster).
  • Clean lists — verified, current, professionally sourced business contacts. Bounces and unsubscribes removed before the next send.
  • Paced volume — sending within the ramp guidance we provide. The warmup schedule is not a suggestion.

What gets you suspended

  • Deceptive headers, spoofed identities, misleading subject lines, or any misrepresentation of who is sending or why.
  • Sending to purchased or scraped consumer lists, or any list of recipients with no plausible professional relevance to your offer.
  • Continuing to contact anyone who opted out, bounced, or complained.
  • Phishing, malware, fraud, or content that is illegal under the laws that apply to you or your recipients.
  • Harvesting addresses, dictionary attacks, or automated address generation.
  • Sustained complaint or bounce rates that materially exceed industry norms — this is measurable, and we monitor it.
  • Reselling, sub-leasing, or lending your warmed mailboxes to third parties whose practices we haven't reviewed.

Your legal responsibility

You are the sender of record for everything sent from your domains and mailboxes. You are responsible for compliance with CAN-SPAM and every other law that applies to your recipients — including stricter regimes such as CASL (Canada) and GDPR/PECR (EU/UK) where your lists reach those jurisdictions. Our infrastructure being configured correctly does not make an unlawful campaign lawful.

Enforcement

We monitor bounce and complaint signals on the infrastructure we manage. If your sending triggers this policy we will pause warmup or provisioning, tell you exactly why, and tell you what would resolve it. Repeated or willful violations end the engagement under Section 6 of the Terms of Service — you keep your domains and mailboxes (they're yours), but we stop operating them.
